Our Company

Debtist is Europe's pioneer in digital receivables management and was founded in 2023. Headquartered in Frankfurt am Main with additional offices in Berlin, Vienna, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and London, we are already active in Europe's most important markets.

As a legally licensed debt collection service provider (registered in the German Legal Services Register, ref. 2025 0000 1427), we combine legal expertise with modern technology. The company is registered in the Frankfurt Commercial Register (HRB 135122).

The Debtist platform automates the entire receivables management process – from the first payment reminder in your company's look and feel, through monitoring incoming payments, to enforcing outstanding claims in pre-litigation and litigation collection proceedings. Our Story

Debtist was founded in 2023 by Matteo Benedetti, Tony Zabel, and Brandon Baumgarten with a clear mission: to modernize one of Europe's oldest and most conservative industries. Traditional debt collection was slow, opaque, and frequently damaged customer relationships. Debtist has changed that: digital, data-driven, and pan-European.

Within two years, Debtist has become one of the fastest-growing FinTechs in the DACH region – recognized as Sifted Future 50 #21 among the most successful scale-ups of 2025, and with co-founder Matteo Benedetti featured on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for 2025.
